It’s time to wake up.
If we can’t look around and accept that the Powers that Be aren’t going to protect our city for us, honestly, we deserve what we get.
Our social conditioning demands that to be heard, someone else must speak for us. This is no longer the case, but we still think it’s “normal” to let 9 people decide how we live our lives, so nobody questions it. Let me break it down for you:
The only reason we are not part of the policy making process is simply because we do not expect to be.
The only time our city has a conversation about major change is during the election cycle - and the only way to access that conversation is to run for council. We’re losing hope for the future so quickly that all we can talk about is the dystopian hell unfolding around us. We can’t wait to follow the rabbit anymore.
it’s time to be the Rabbit.

tells us we are evolving.
Why do we think that any candidate is more informed or more motivated to fix our problems than we are? Instead of entering the race to ask you for money you don’t have, so they can fix problems they don’t have:
A Rabbit Candidate uses their platform to identify that our local policy making process is no longer working to solve our issues.
They do not promote their own agenda or defend their own bias. They answer every question the same way:
“One person is not capable of speaking for thousands. It is a radical and dangerous waste of time to wait for one person to figure out what thousands of people already know - when we can just give the people the mic.”
allows us to work together.
Government doesn’t have to happen in empty rooms anymore. if we can access social media 24 hours a day - why can’t we engage with our legislative process whenever we want? We can hold our representatives accountable with simple digital tools to fact check policy making in real time, like:
online public forums parallel to each committee that uses data scrapes and analytics to summarize huge amounts of information
interactive maps for people to drop pins of interest either to identify an issue or solution
social media to alert the demographics potentially impacted by issue currently in committee
The only way to find what works for us is to work together. It is a simple solution for a simple truth:
There is no common sense in legislation because there is no common voice. There is no common voice because there is no common mic.
heralds the renaissance
When we’re told there is a race to win, Rabbit is an idea that we share. It sets a new community standard that uplifts us rather than beats us into political debate.
Instead of protesting the Powers that Be, Rabbit asks us to celebrate the Powers that we have Become.
There are so many solutions already being explored within our population. We must compare evidence based practices instead of fighting over who makes decisions for us. Rabbit asks us to listen with both ears instead of argue. We need to be better to each other; help one another. Everyone is struggling so we must give them grace, ourselves included.
We have to accept that we all have the same basic needs - whatever it takes to live a healthy life on a healthy planet.
To trade revolution for Renaissance - we must celebrate what it means to be human. Rabbit belongs to everyone who sees that we are evolving, knows that we have to work together and understands that in order to gain the courage needed to survive the chaos being prepared for us:
We must choose to remind ourselves that it is actually fun to be alive
